This product has given me high quality photos and it is great for beginners because it is easy to use. The value on this product is outstanding and you really get your money's worth. I would definitely recommend this product.

Kit lens with very good optical quality. I love it.

The kit lens is low cost and relatively small but it is soft and not adequate to take advantage of the camera sensor.

this ens is awesome you can even take some good astrophotography with for a kit lens is perfect totally recommended

I find this lens is a poor kit lens that does not match the sensors ability to capture the contrast and sharpness. Probably a 50 or 35 mm prime would be more up to the task. I have found that the lens flaring is a problem in bright sun light as well as the colours are very washed out. I have manged to get some fine family activity photos but the lens can not be relied on and I find i need a back up camera available, some times even the cell phone.
