Not only does this phone allow you to play your typical Android app games, it also allows you to play full PS games. Crash Bandicoot is my favorite! :D This phone is very multi-functional. With this particular device you can do anything that you would do with a regular Android smartphone, plus you can play PS games!!!!!! <3

First off, I love this phone! I had the Xperia x10a before upgrading to Xperia Play and I'm a huge fan of the Xperia platform. While some reviewers have complained about the sluggish operations of the phone, mine has worked flawlessly from day one. I purchased a 32GB memory card and I never have any problems with having enough space for games, videos, music, etc. The crowning achievement of this device, of course, is the Playstation certified pull-out game controller keyboard. Sure, it's great for gaming. I have spend countless hours on airplanes (I travel a lot) playing games, watching videos, etc. However, what I like the most about the Xperia Play is that it is a GREAT phone! Crystal clear sound, adequate call sound level, decent built in speakers, loads files and software quickly, an ultra-crisp touch screen, and a sleek design. A few cons: The phone is rather heavy and somewhat bulky, however the ergonomic design makes it fairly comfortable in your hand. Battery life: you will have to charge your phone nightly. All in all, a GREAT alternative to the iPhone. Plus it's a great conversation starter!

This phone is down right SICK! it handles graphics with mega power. the battery life is awesome...if i forget to charge it big deal. it slides into a PSP type gaming device (that all my friends love) that is super easy to understand and you can be super fast at it. big deal it only comes in blue, its a dark metallic blue you cant really tell that its blue.ive had an iphone, droid,and a standard phone and this thing destroys them entirely. the 3G is lightning fast (i dont live a 4G area),the apps are awesome, and it beats other androids,over all this is the best phone ive had ever. thanks sony im deffinantly making yall my type of phone now. I have used this phone for over a month now and I must confess that I do enjoy it very much. I have found it to best overall smartphone expedience so far. All of my needs from a phone and then some are provided and it can supplement entertainment in a very busy world. The case recommendation is only what I feel would be best if you wanted a case from att. There is another case the Trident Aegis for the xperia play that would be best. It has android gingerbread 2.3.3, 2.3.4 should be on the way and Sony(Ericsson) announced that it would receive ice cream sandwich later this year.

This isn't a bad phone all in all. Coming from the Sony Ericsson Xperia x10 which I loved truely to the XPlay left me a little disappointed. My favorite features are pretty much all here. I miss mediascape. On the XPlay I cannot download album art it seems, and I totally hate auto correct, the phone feels so fragile, can no longer change keyboards, and so far I have had it for six days and already I loathe it lol. Improvements I have noticed a longer battery life although same battery as in the x10, duel cams, crisper/sharper display, and customizable app menu. I do so miss my x10 and although I'm sure it will fade with time, at least I'm still the envy of all my co-workers! It's not keeping up with the Joneses around here, it keeping up with me!!!
