After wanting an E-Reader for quite some time and looking into many different brands, I opted for the Sony E-Reader - I could not be happier! I was looking at the Kindle, but I did not need the WiFi or anything fancy. I just want to be able to read a book - that is it. This does the trick just fine. It is easy to download books onto the reader and very comfortable in my hand. I was very nervous to make my purchase as I do like the feel of a good book in my hand, but I don't miss it at all. I carry my E-Reader in my purse and find myself grabbing it anytime I get a minute. I would definitely recommend this E-Reader.
I had asked for a kindle for my birthday but got this instead and I am soooo glad! The kindle is much bigger and has a lot of useless gadgets. This doesn't have 3G or wifi, but it takes less than 10 seconds to plug it in and upload a book. The portability is brilliant. Everybody should have one of these!
I got this for my Daughter's 8th birthday. She is an avid reader (in 2nd grade and reading on a 5th grade level). She loves that it holds so many books and that the battery really lasts. She has quickly learned how to operate the reader and pick out, purchase and download the books she wants from the Sony ebook store. Overall, it is PERFECT!! I would highly recommend it for anyone who loves to read. It is very slim and compact. We did get a nice storage case from Sony for it and it is still small and easy to take along. She's going to take it on our next vacation. Love it!!!
I highly recomemend this reader for anyone who wants a simple, easy to use reader. It is very easy to add books to the reader. I love the fact that I can purchase books from any store or I can also borrow them from my local libary. I use it outside and the screen is very visable in bright sunlight.
I love this little machine. I have downloaded 3 books aleady. Software easy to use. Sony's website is good. My daughter also purchased the same reader and so did a friend of ours for the kids. Go out and buy it if you don't need all the bells and wistles.
