i was surprised by the amount of bass this soundbar puts out. it is not subwoofer-level bass but darn close. the sound quality is excellent with no distortion. a great buy at under a hundred bucks.

The speaker works very well with the 32" Sony Bravia since the TV has rear facing speakers. Worth the price (buy it on-line and save $10 from store) versus buying complete surround sound system/speakers. No complaints so far.

I have a Vizio sound bar and it blows the Sony away in sound quality and loudness. The Sony sounds no better than the speakers on my TV. It does add depth when I use it with my TV speakers on also. I recieved this as a gift from a friend who comes over weekly so I can't return it. If you are looking at sound bars on a budget I would highly recommend the Vizio for a few dollars more. Very disappointed in Sony with this product.

Wanted to improve on the miserable sound on my 32" HD LED we got for our bedroom. This unit did the trick. Great balanced sound, good depth - highs and lows, for a great price. Didn't want or need something with a sub for the bedroom, and I got just what I was looking for. Easy to set up and use, and a vast improvement over the basic built in speakers. Can't beat it for the price.

I looked at another model that had optical inputs and assumed this one did too. my mistake it has a simple headphone type jack which attaches to my TV and does have some delay would have prefered an optical connection
