I honestly think it's a great quality for the price! The drawers have a thin bottom to it but other than that my daughter uses it nicely. We had a hiccup when the T parts weren't right but we reached out to the company and they mailed it out right away!
This was purchased for my newborn, the dimensions are exactly as posted and in actuality it's a decent sized dresser. It's definitely heavy and was at a medium difficulty to put together, this was my first time putting together a dresser. I had my 8 year old help at certain points to hold the sides together when screwing them in to make it easier. I would say it's doable by yourself entirely but would be more time consuming and most likely would become frustrating at points. The manual doesn't have any words to go along with the directions so it takes some time to figure out but when you finally do, it's definitely rewarding. When needed I would buy another South Shore product for sure.
Was looking for inexpensive dresser that had easy glide drawers. This suits well for price. Hubby had bought another dresser on "sale" at CT and it was useless and weak at $60... this was worth the extra cost...but still affordable and I expect to use until child gets until their tweens. Matched well with our new crib.
Assembly instructions were not easy to understand. When completed, the unit was not square and had large gaps between drawers and sides. Just feels like a cheap piece of furniture. Thankfully it's going into a child's room and will suffice until she gets older. If you have the money, choose something different.
It took my husband and I about 4 hours to put this dresser together. It is flimsy--the bottoms of the drawers are basically cardboard. The drawers are also very shallow. However, it looks nice and will work in our nursery as we will just be using it for baby clothes. I doubt this dresser will stand for a lot of wear and tear, but it should get us through the first few years.
