It does not heat 400 sq ft. Only has about 6 in heater vent that is set to blow straight in the air. Good heat if standing in front of it. Really enjoy the fire.

This fire box meets all my expectations, it has everything you would want in a firebox - Flame, timer, ember brightness, remote control - it is so real looking. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an electrical firebox.

The package arrived timely, and in good shape. The instructions were good, and my son put the piece together alone in about two hours...very nice and an attractive furnishing. We are very disappointed , however, in the firebox. The appearance is nice, the flames and logs very nice for being artificial, the problem is - nowhere in the advertising or the reviews is the fact mentioned that the firebox needs its own dedicated circuit. We planned ( and I imagine most users would plan the same thing) to plug this unit into the same wall plug as our television. We cannot use both items at once...the circuit blows when we try to use the heater while watching TV. This really defeats our purpose for the purchase. We wanted the coziness of the heat in the room. We can turn on the flame and log for ambiance but no heat....very disappointed. We must turn off the TV if we want warmth from the firebox. Buyer,....beware.

I love the look of the fireplace and would buy again. The only thing is the instructions say it takes about an hour to put together, but it actually takes quite a bit longer than that.

The firebox was very easy to install and easy to operate. It does not meet all my expectations in heating my house which is about 350sq feet. The look of the logs and fire does look real.
