This is my first HRM, I shopped around and thought they were rather expensive. I really do not like digital sports watches...to hard to figure out. I had no problem with this HRM, I used it today with the chest strap, EXCELLENT. IF YOU READ the instructions you should have no PROBLEM....but if you do have problem there is a 24 toll free support number you can call.....I called when I had a 'duh' moment and they were very helpful up there in Yonkers NY....good ole' America!!!! There is a 5 year warranty on this product also. Drawbacks for me; I would like a extra chest strap, so I can wash one and wear one; and it's too bulky for my taste, a nice feminine color would be great.
I have the polar F11 & T31 watch strap combo and when the battery died on the strap and not being user replaceable, I looked for a replacement. This units exceeds the F11/T31 combo in every way, except the kCal is far too high. I cycle through numerous workouts (strength, HIIT, cardio and comos of each) and have monitored my workouts for the last 4 yrs. This unit is reporting 10-20% more kCals than the polar (wearing both at the same time). I have tried different user settings trying to get it to a more reliable result, but have not really found a happy median. I probably should contact the mfgr and see if they have any answers. For a better manual, this pdf is a bit more detailed and clear in its instructions. There are a couple of features at the end that this unit does not seem to have (power down / power save mode), but everything else is spot on. http://www.sportline.com/manuals/DUO_1010.pdf
this watch is so frustrating. the book does it no justice and is very vague. it is flat out difficult and too complicated so i gave up and took it back to the store. i was unable to stop the timer that never ended. i had trouble setting up the weight, gender, etc. I wanted a good watch but not for the headache i endure trying to figure it out.
I purchased this heart rate monitor soully for the one touch heart rate. It only seemed to work 1 out of 15-20 times. The other functions where nice to have but not necc. if the heart rate monitor doens't work. It just becomes a overpriced wrist watch. I will def. be returning this product and spending the money to get a nice one. I WOULD NOT recommend this product to anyone.
I had it for 6 months now. I just had to replace the battery for the first time. Great!!!
