I've had this phone for about a year and a half. It has been dropped, fumbled/thrown, kicked and continues to work beautifully! The screen is amazing and it's amazingly scratch resistant. I am a klutz and this thing takes a beating without missing a beat. I am now looking at the Galaxy SII but I really don't want to give up my sliding qwerty keyboard --that is the only hesitation. I cannot say enough good things about my Galaxy Epic 4G. Just amazing! I have many friends with an iPhone 4s and while it's nice; it isn't aren't as nice as my Galaxy.

My experience with this phone is GREAT! I converted to this phone from a Blackberry. I wanted a larger screen (BB does have one now) and I use Google everything... Wanted to be able to fully use all available Google offerings, so I converted to a droid. Samsung's products have a winning reputation with me, their phone was my next try. The slide keyboard, in case my fat fingers did NOT work on the virtual screen one (not ever a problem just an adjustment really), the 'less likely to break' screen glass and droid os convinced me. 4 months later I am writting this on my NEW Galaxy Tab 10.1. Thank you Samsung for these consistantly reliable products, and Support Center.

I love the camera on the phone and the bright, clear screen. Yes it's huge, but not everyone wants a screen the size of an iPod Nano. There is a design flaw in that the side buttons are on the slide out keyboard, not the screen part of the phone. This means when you press one of the buttons, the keyboard tries to slide out. I can see some unnecessary wear and tear going on there. And the swype keyboard is cool, but it tends to use clumps of letters, not words. For the longest time every time I tried to swype 'the', I'd get 'tde' and it is determined that 'there' is 'rhett'. But it's a very cool idea. The biggest issue is the battery life. You don't want to go anywhere without a spare charger. I'd suggest a solar charger if you're going to be away from a plug in because the battery on this thing is not made to last more than a couple of hours if you're actually using it. The phone as a whole is excellent and as long as Samsung keeps upgrading it, I think it will last a long time and thus be work the money spent.

Such quality went into the making of this phone. I think I'm in love..the screen is the most captivating part of this when you first see it! Everything is easier to read and navigate through. The speed of connecting while on the internet is just as amazing. The media hub by Samsung is very impressive. I simply cannot say enough about the quality of this phone. It even feels like a solid piece of technology in your hands.. I am definitely sold on Samsung products all around. They certainly live up to their namesake!
