This is an essential on my bar cart!! It elevates any cocktail with its sweet complex elderflower taste. Of course you can use this for a Hugo Spritz (Champagne & St. Germain) but I it for so many other mixed drinks too. If a cocktail is too strong add some St-Germain to sweeten it up and enhance the flavor. I will always have a bottle of this on my bar cart!
St. Germain elderflower liqueur is my favorite of all the liqueurs. I'm obsessed with the floral scent and flavor. Some of my favorite mixes using Elderflower liqueur is with gin, lemon juice and champagne! It is a classic prohibition era tasting cocktail that tastes perfectly bitter and sweet. I think the perfect balance of this cocktail all comes from the St. Germain liqueur. It is so delicious!
I keep st Germaine at the house for myself. You see, I'm not much of a dry white wine drinker but I'm known to love champagne. So when friends bring something that's too dry? I pop a shot of St. Germain liqueur and it brings just the right amount of sweetness!
St Germaine was one of those liqueurs i didnt have too much knowledge about and didnt really know how to use it... until now. I combine Grey Goose L'Poire, St Germaine, Lychee Puree, Lemon Juice and Sugar in a tin, shake it up and strain in a chilled martini glass then express a lemon peel and garnish with a Lychee nut
What a lovely elderflower liquor. Weather you add it to a gin and tonic or make a St.. Germain spritzer it is lovely. It is light and refreshing. It reminds me of sitting on a porch in the summer. I think St.. Germain is an important liquor to have in your arsenal if you plan on making excellent cocktails.
