The cables separated and exposed the copper wires. I believed I had a good purchase... put them in my car trunk until I needed them (for 1 year 2 months. yes, another one of those situations where the purchase date is just a tad over the warranty period). I needed them 14months later and while they were connected and waiting for the charge-I noticed the exposed copper wires. Thank goodness no one was injured by touching the exposed cables during a jump. Walmart only offered to refund me $4 and the manufacture has a 1 year defect warranty. If you purchase or currently have these - i suggest adding a tape wrap or secure the cables at the point where RED/BLACK join together to keep them from separating and exposing the bare copper. They do work as intended. Was able to charge start another car. They are also non-tangle as advertised.
