Stanley Hand Tools 83-069M Multi-Angle Base Vise

Great little vice, major pain trying to find replacement pads.

This vise is made from cast aluminum and is made for smaller light duty projects. It works great for me as I have never had an issue using it. It pivots in almost any angle. It is not an industrial vice, it is not heavy duty, if you used it for what it was intended for you shouldn't have any problems. If you broke this vise, you probably don't know what you are doing. If you need a heavy duty vise buy one made from steel. I have four of these vises which continue to work perfect. This is a high-quality aluminum vise I would recommend for smaller light duty projects.

The purpose of a Vice is to hold items still; this one fails at that if it has the same defect as mine. The shank connected to the ball has a chamfered and tapered head. That is supposed to mate into the casting of the static Vice jaw. In mine the casting was off, so the shank can move, left to right. That allows the Vice to wrack, when you are working on a held item. I grew up using Stanley tools and am most disappointed.

Perfect for my wood shop for small cutting and carving very adjustable and strong. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

i use it to hold parts to get bolts out of and every time i would tap on the bole the vise would come lose junk not happy with it
