This was simple to put together. It's cute. However, it's wobbly on the base and just about impossible to see the projection unless you have it a few inches from the ceiling. I bought this on sale. My son lost interest over the fact that he can't even see the projections and names. Now it just sits there with the top on. I can't comment on battery life due to the fact of the poor projection, so he doesn't turn it on.

Purchased for a Christmas gift...and it worked for 1 day. Replaced batteries, ok. It lasted one more day. Adjusted bulb prongs...one more day. Now, nothing is working and if i still had the box or receipt ..i would definitely return this. As others have mentioned - this is not a ceiling/room star display. It only works 1ft on the closest wall and that limits it to only about a 30degree view of the overall semi-circle galaxy. The dark cover doesnt display at all. Skip this one.

I bought this item as a last minute Christmas gift for my son. He loves both Star Wars and the night sky, so it seemed to be the perfect fit. Imagine the disappointment when, after dealing with screws so cheap they stripped while putting this together (the product is cheap plastic), we turned it on and all we could see was blurry images across the room. The stars are faint blobs of light, and you have to hold the item right against the ceiling for it to be clear. We tried different rooms, same result. I then had to fight with the now stripped screws once more to take the product apart to put back in the box. It's going back to the store today!!

We got this item for our 3 yr nephew, which was fine because his expectations weren't too high. But I would probably not by this item again, the plastic is poor quality and yes it's made from plastic. When the lights are on you can barely make out the constellations as the holes cut into the plastic are not very well done. Makes everything very blurry. You have to actually hold it close to the wall to get a clear reflection.
