I bought this and Crayola 3 in 1 Double Easel. I returned Crayola 3 in 1 Double Easel as it was not a superior quality than this. The Step2 though little expensive than Crayola 3 in 1 Double Easel, it is worth the money. Decent height, sturdy frame, good finishing and a strong tray made me to buy this. If your child is over 4 feet then this easel is not for him/her. Still it's not a problem. He/she can sit on a chair and draw/write. If others don't mind paying around $40, then this is a good product I would recommend.

First, let me start by saying that although our easel came in damaged (there was a crack in the chalkboard side due to shipping - the box was a wreck) it was not due to the easel itself. It is large and I know my son, who is 20 months but the physical size of a 3-4 year old, will be using it for years and years. I read the previous reviews concerning the "art clips" and although I agree with them not being able to hold a piece of paper well, my solution is to purchase some really strong magnetic "chip" clips so we can avoid the hassel. Other than that, the easel is very sturdy and well made. There's really no assembly other than the tray but, it appears to be a "1-2-3 READY TO USE" product. Again, although my son really hasn't gotten to use it, I think it's definitely worth the money. I can't wait for him to get the replacement so we can start enjoying it !

I first bought this Step2Easel for my son who really enjoyed it. Instead of him trying to write on the walls or floors, that's when I bought the easel. He loved it, putting up the alphabets and drawing. He loved it so much, I would put his homework on the clip so he could do it. I would even buy the large Crayola pad and put it on the clip, so he could just write and draw on it. I kept the easel without knowing if I was going to have another child. I had my third child and she is growing up with my son's 14 year old Step2Easel, just like my 7 year old is doing. I purchased this easel for my 3 year old nephew. I know that he will enjoy it, because he plays on ours. The Step2Easel is really GREAT.

We were waiting at Dodge for a truck repair, and they had one of these in their kiddy waiting room. My kid played with it the whole time. I had a hard time getting him to leave. So I went on Walmart.com and ordered one for home, as well as Melissa and Doug magnets. He plays for hours on this thing and he loves it! It is a must buy! Well made, and you don't have to screw it together comes assembled you just have to click in the middle yellow piece. Easy set up right from the box which is great for impatient kids and parents.

This easel is very sturdy if you snap the center tray in correctly. Several reviewers said that the dry erase markers they used would not erase. We've used Crayola brand markers and have had no problems. My 4yo son with autism loves this and is having a great time learning to write letters and draw pictures.
