Good quality product for the price. Needed some assembly. We used an electric screwdriver for the two screws, which made it fast and easy. My 2yr old grandson loves it. The drill and screwdriver really turn the screws and the wood project pieces add to the fun. Even his older siblings enjoy playing with it!
I was a little worried getting this for my one year old as it says ages 3+ but I think its the perfect size for him and will be for at least a few years. Storage for all the blocks that come with it is lacking but were making it work. He loves the drill! Super easy to assemble!
Everyone that have a toddler should purchase this work bench. This is my second one. We bought one for my grandson for Christmas and he works everyday on it. He has the deluxe one at home and this purchase was for my house. I ordered extra accessories so he could build more projects. My grandson will be 3 in February. Excellent purchase.
We bought this for our 2yr old daughter and she just loves it. Being a woodworking myself my wife wanted my daughter to start participating at her own level. And there are few things that bring a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment to anyone, kid or adult, than making something. I did see where some reviews questioned the quality of the drill and it's inability to turn the bolts through the pieces when making the projects. To be honest, we'd prefer that the drill not have the torque to prevent any potential for twisting our child's wrist when using it to thread the bolts into the table top. If you have spent any time with a drill you know what I mean. Eventually everyone will twist their wrist to some degree. I also saw where some didn't like the hammer saying there isn't anything to hammer but we've used it to show our daughter how to gently (or hard as she may prefer from time to time) tap the work pieces together at the joints. The one recommendation I offer for the product is to add either a wrench or a nut driver insert for the drill/screwdriver handle for use with the bolts/nuts. While any kid will be able to hand tighter the nuts, learning to use the tools is a big part of the toys enjoyment not to mention a good way to work on the child's motor skills. Product Likes: -Easy assembly which was very nice as this was a Christmas Eve project. Most pieces snap together with only a few screws necessary to complete the assembly. Add a few stickers and you're good to go. -A good selection of projects with instructions. The finished projects look better to us than most others and there was a larger variety of projects as well. -Child gets both individual time and quality time with parents when building one of the projects. -Enough room for multiple kids (willing to share) and enough pieces that each child could each build their own project. Product Recommendations: Add a wrench or Nut Driver
My grandson loves this workbench! He is under 3 but does not put things in his mouth, so we’ve had no issues with the smaller pieces. He will growv into the tools, as right now he uses the drill as a hairdryer! My husband assembled it quickly, following the instructions provided.
