We bought this wagon for my two year old daughter and she loves it. It has plenty of room for storage and is very comfortable. She is very tall and she fits with a friend great. The storage on top is life saver with key compartments and drink holders. Highly recommend it.
My husband had to work on the wheels a bit to get them to turn easily, but he's pretty handy so after fiddling with it, he got the wheels to work, using the original parts. The wagon is pretty light to pull on the sidewalk, but when you are off-roading, it is a bit harder. I've been building up some muscles! The canopy is very nice and stays on well. Seatbelts have been very useful to keep everyone in their place. The kids really like this wagon. Every toddler we see at the park tries to get in/pull away our wagon. My daughter resisted the stroller, but she enjoys her birds eye view from the wagon.
My 9 month old twins love riding in this wagon everyday. I even feed them in this more often than I do with them in the high chairs. I wish this can be pushed as well as pulled -- my neighborhood road is hilly and it's hard to pull my twins (20 and 25 lbs) up the hill.
After watching my 18 month old play in a friend's wagon, I researched wagons on lots of sites and read all the reviews. Step2 is a great brand and this Safari Wagon is the best! The canopy is fantastic and worth the extra money. It's very different than pushing a stroller (which is maybe why some reviews noted the heavy feeling or the awkward turning), but it's been no trouble for me - even pulling two toddlers in it. My son loves the door and the seatbelts fit snug. He even loves playing in it in the garage. (It is large and would be tough to travel with...but the canapoy does come off.)
It is a nice wagon; however, very large and hard to steer. My girls who are 2 and 11 months enjoy riding in it. I take them for rides around the neighborhood, but not sure I would want to tote it in my car due to the size. The door latch is very easy to open, my 2 year old opens it frequently but nice to have the seat belts to keep them secure.
