Stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Compassionate

I love stila's liquid eyeliner pens. They are phenomenal. So i decided to give their liquid eyeshadows a try. I was so excited to try them out, but was disappointed to discover how non-opaque and chunky it was. Not to mention how as soon as it dries down, it flakes off ALL over your face. Not a cute look, especially if you chose their darker shades. I would try their other products, but as far as the liquid shadows, I wont use them again tbh. Again, theliquid liner pens are phenomenal, but for the liquid eyeshadow I don't see what all the hype was about tbh.

I love this product and have it in Kitten, Twig, Cloud, and Vivid Jade. For me, Twig and Cloud have too much dark pigment-maybe an undertone of grey or brown that I don't love on my skin. However, all of them are buildable and well pigmented. My favorite, though, by far, is Kitten. It is so smooth and dreamy! It elevates a day-look, and can be glamorous enough for evening as well.

I have two of these and they are so pretty. They are quick and easy to work with and seem to last 8-9 hours on me without any fading (I don't use an eye primer). The shimmer can migrate a bit smoothing/blending on lid before it sets but after the eye shadow sets, no shimmer migration. I love that it is a pretty sheen/shimmer and no actual glitter.

I LOVE this color! It's such a pretty shade of purple, a fun shade. I've actually been able to wear this all day, leave it on while I sleep at night, and wear it the whole next day and it looks like I first applied it. I'm sad that this is a limited addition color.

I have drawers of expensive name brand powder shadow collections, which are all unused now. I use Stila's liquid shadows exclusively. I use this a suede one as a base and then add 4 different "shimmer and glow" liquid shadows to get my look. And I blend with my finger and rinse between each color. I don't even use a primer anymore. This is the holy grail for me. And, every night when I take off my make up it's a breeze.
