I have had this phone for over a year. I so wish I had chosen a different phone. First, the memory is a joke. I have tried numerous SD cards, different brands and the phone will not mount the SD card. Well, actually, I did get it to see the SD card and even got it mounted - once. I thought everything was great. Even worked for a short while. Then one day, shortly after, it just stopped seeing it again. Kept getting the usual error messages again. Went through ALL of the steps again - numerous times - to no avail. My husband's business, before he retired was computers, and he tried all the tricks he knew. Nothing worked. I even went as far as clearing the phone, going back to all the original settings - and reprogramming all my numbers, etc. in again. STILL could not get the SD card to be mounted. Called customer service for Alcatel and was told because my phone was a straight talk phone, they could not help me....that somehow straight talk had their OWN customer service and we would need to contact them. And we did...didn't help...as we were already going through all the steps. I've tried to set up different ring tones for different people and I keep losing those. So I've just stopped trying. I realize no phone is perfect, but this one stinks! I still like Straight Talk, but I hate this phone. I keep myself limited to just the memory that came with the phone....which isn't much.

Had this phone for 9 months now. First issue I had was putting in a different micro SD card. I wanted more memory, but it couldn't detect the card. I literally had to purchase 3 different brands, n tried resetting the phone, formatting, n turning off/on in different orders to get the phone to detect it n nothing worked. Then, my photo gallery will disappear with no trace. I will turn on/off my phone. Try opening it through the camera app n nothing. Sometimes it will just pop back up, but its not guaranteed. Thank goodness for Google photos back up. Another thing is for some reason, if u download a different keyboard or even ringtones, try not to restart your phone EVER! for some reason it will reset itself back to the default settings. So unless u like to continuously redo your settings and be limited to a small amount of memory, I suggest looking for a different phone.

DO NOT buy this phone! I have had this phone for about a year and if I could afford to, I would throw it in the ocean! First issue was within the first few weeks it would randomly shut down. Of course, by now, the in-store exchange had gone by... So i thought, i'm stuck with it.. Ok. I will deal with it. I should have smashed it right then and there. I have now gone through 6 SD cards! That's right, 6!!!!!! Every few months, it will tell me that the SD card is damaged and the phone wont even work until I buy a new one!! I have tried numerous times to take it out, and reinsert it, even tried reformatting it! NOPE! I have texts i don't receive, internet connect is spotty, I haven't been able to update the software since I got the phone, and have lost numerous photos from the SD card issue. As soon as I can, i am getting rid of this paper weight! I should have stayed with the Samsung...

Had this phone for 8 months so far and it's already been falling apart. The first issues started shortly after purchase. It freezes, it restarts itself for no reason, the screen locks itself while in a call and will not unlock to be able to end the call or press additional buttons. The charger port in the phone wore out within 3 months and the phone has to be positioned a certain way on the charger to make the connection to charge. The phone looses charge extremely quickly. The speaker goes in and out and works when it wants to. The volume on this phone is also very low with poor sound quality making it difficult to hear. The only positive to this phone was it's large size which is what I was looking for. But I'd gladly have a smaller phone that was usable as opposed to this large phone that is absolutely horrible and dysfunctional. And the buddy that comes with it is pointless. The only reason I use it now is so that I can end phone calls when I'm done since the screen on the main phone locks itself out. Think 2, 3, and 4 times over before you waste your money on this phone. I NEVER take the time to leave reviews on products but felt so strongly about this one that I was compelled to do so.
