Straight Talk H258C Huawei Prepaid Wireless Home Phone

I've had this for over 2 years now, and it's never failed to complete a call. It operates on cell phone towers, so to me that's a plus. I got this when ATT decided to charge $75 a month for a landline. Since this is $15 a month it's a no brainer. For what I was spending per month, I got 5 months service. It's a great device, well worth the price paid for it. Took all of 10 minutes to set it up, too.

The straight talk so far is working great. Clear tone, no static. Compared to the one I had before ( another brand that lasted a short time, was so garbled no one knew what the other said then died.) I would definitely recommend the straight talk.

Initially bought this to replace our expensive "gotcha" cable service VOIP home service, but we could not get out of our contract for several more months or face penalties. We still kept the Straight Talk box and activated it at our house. It worked like a charm. We had clear incoming and outgoing calls with very little cellular "drift". Verizon (the Straight Talk home service provider) has heavy coverage here so signal was no issue at all. But thanks to our "gotcha" cable provider who threatened to go up $100 per month if we disconnected their phone from our bundle package, we let the Straight Talk home phone service expire but held on to the service box for future use. Fast forward several months later. Now my father has health issues and requires around the clock care so he is in a nursing center. I took the Straight Talk home phone box, bought a new $15 service card, then re-activated the service which took all of five minutes. After that, all we did was attach a home phone with big buttons to the Straight Talk box and then plug it in. It works GREAT! My dad is able to call us anytime and we can call and check on him around the clock. He is so impressed, he says he wants to take the box with him when he goes home and disconnect his regular wired home phone service (which costs $55 a month versus the $15 a month through Straight Talk). If you have Verizon service in your area and you still want a home phone, this is the way to go!

My phone hasn't been connected yet, but that's not because of anything to do with Walmart; but I can say this much; any items I have bought from Walmart so far, has been more than satisfactory, so I'm expecting this item to be the same. Shipping has always been very timely, before anticipated, or definitely by the time scheduled. I can also say that I purchase from Walmart's all the time, and have referred friends and family and I have never had a problem with any items purchased from Walmart, and I will definitely continue to purchase from Walmart. Thanks for your great service, and products.

I love this so much. Now let the savings begin. So good to be out from under AT & T and their high prices. Was the best purchase from Walmart, ever.
