It took 2 days to be activated (17 attempts) and be able to use the phone . The main reason I figured out was the sensitivity of the phone was low. It also had to have 3G displayed. My Samsung worked fine inside with 2 bars. The Ascend had no bars. I wound up putting the phone next to a 300 ohm line lead in from an FM antenna I had outside. The use of the phone was better. Since I had experience with the Samsung Smart phone for over a year. The Ascend was faster in running Apps and the App for viewing Text and PDF files worked well. The 5.0 MP camera is great. Except for the weakness of signal in which I use it outside mostly for calls and Web access, the functionality of the pone is good. The FM radio is a Plus. WiFi at restaurants is better than the Samsung.

Straightalk does not let you leave messages on landline voicemails which to me makes no sense, also you don't really have unlimited data either because if you use it too much they shut you off and the rep told me it's somewhere in the fine print plain and simple it's misleading. I don't use straightalk anymore because of this however this phone was purchased for my 11 yr old nephew. A child's phone. The phone is great the provider is cheap and that's the service you get.

I had this phone for 4 hours when it wigged out and quit working, then I was on the line with straight talk for almost 3 hours before they told me they would send me a new one, that was 2 weeks ago. Do yourself a favor and just pay the full price and get a new one from the store.
