Straight Talk ZTE 797C Quartz Prepaid Smartphone w/Bonus $50 Gift Card

When I first purchased this phone from my local store. I loved it. However a few months after the purchase and activation the phone starts reporting a sim card error and says the SIM card can't be read, but a few seconds later it works. It drops calls and internet based services because of this. The worst was when I was trying to use my navigation and it dropped out before I reach my destination. The notification tone for my phone beeps all night BC my phone is constantly not reading the SIM card. Very dissapointed and don't have the funds to purchase a new phone right now. If this would have only started before my 15 day return period...But it never quite works out that way. Stay away from this phone. Also if you want more details I was able to find some videos on YouTube detailing the problem.

Liked the large screen, that was the only good thing about it. First of all, it has NO speaker to use Speaker phone, and the battery does not remove, it is permanently installed. Even though it is a CDMA-V phone, I couldn't even get a signal to activate it. None. I took it back two days later and got a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, and Love it, no problems with the Galaxy yet. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This phone is really nice for the price. I think it is $200 in stores and buying online allowed not only $50 off the price but also a free $50 walmart gift card. It is about the same size as a Samsung galaxy s4, and the battery is huge and the battery does last between 17-24 hours fully charged. You can stream and do anything on the phone and it doesnt affect the battery much. A few things I didnt like is that the phone is 3g only, so you wont receive the speeds of a 4g connection. Another feature I really didnt like is that it runs on android 4.3 which is an older version and therefore is not compatible with certain programs. A big thing today is google chromecast allowing you to stream from your phone to your Non-smart tv. Well this phone is not compatible. you must run android 4.4.4 Other than that its a great deal and probably the best phone for the price that straight talk offers. I would buy it again.

I just bought this phone yesterday and I must say it is one of the best that I have had so far. There is nothing I would change about it and since I too am getting up in age, and wear glasses the screen size is great! Thank you ZTE for making a bigger screen for those of us who are vision challenged. =)

I was looking for a large straight talk phone that ran on Verizon and I saw this one.I have been very happy with the the speed and size, the only reason I ddidn't give it a five star rating is the sound quality... Speakers could be better. Others have said they couldn't find a case for it well Amazon is full of them.... Cheap. The phone has done everything I ask it to fast. The signal bar shows less bars that my old LG Showtime with no dropped call so far will have to check service in rual areas. This thing is BIG so check it out before you buy some might not like a phablet size phone.
