Good shoe for children with chunky feet. Many we find are cut too narrow. This shoe is great for muscular feet. We have actually purchased this shoe for the second time, took it to the next size. I used to sell stride rite for a shoe store. Now I purchase them for my grandson.

These shoes are cute, and the extra wide is great, but I have a few issues with them. They are very stiff, and the inside material is rough. They definitely can’t be worn without socks. Also, the top of the shoe doesn’t accommodate a high instep or chubby top of foot. I struggle to get my son’s feet in them (even though the width works for his wide feet) and when I take them off it’s clear that there has been tight pressure on the top of his feet.

These shoes are great, we used the printed size chart for our 15 month old, and ended up with the right size on the first try. We get lots of compliments, and he loves wearing them. Shipping was terrible — took two weeks and the box was completely smashed. The shoes were fine, and customer service issued a coupon.

xw stride rites ar the only shoes that will fit on my 1 year olds feet! He has the chunkiest feet ever and these are the only shoes that fit him. I also purchased these for my 3 year old when he was starting to walk in a regular width and they fit him great. they're very soft and flexible.

My 12m old boy has wore these shoes everyday to daycare up until 17m old. I sprayed the shoe with a suede protector and that made it easy for cleaning of the dirt. The shoe has been great quality and looks great with every outfit. I'll definitely be buying this shoe next winter season.
