This gate is far more attractive than a typical baby/pet gate. It fits a wide hallway and the opening of the walk-thru part is a great size. I like that it opens both ways. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is a little difficult to set up and we have had to tighten it up a couple of times.
I bought this gate about a month ago. It was easy to install taking only about 10 min. It was purchased to close off a stairwell so our dogs couldn't sneak downstairs w/o our knowledge. It has worked perfectly for what we purchased it for and it looks great.
We purchased this gate to keep our dogs out of the living room. It is working very well for that purpose. The gate is sturdy yet attractive and the gate makes it easy for everyone else to have easy access to our living room. It was ver easy to install. I would recommend it.
Purchased two Summer Infant Wood & Metal gates to keep puppy out of living & dining rooms. The gate is very attractive, easy to install and keep the puppy out.
I absolutely love the look of this gate! It is beautiful, built well and serves its purpose. The only negative thing I have to say about this gate is how we had to install it, isn't ideal. The space it says allowed for openings was 4 inches wider than the smallest allowable space. However, we could. It use any of the metal attachments because adding them made the gate so large it would not fit into our opening. We had to adjust the metal pieces along the side to near full capacity and also add the felt furniture spacers behind them so it wasn't flimsy like. Glancing at the gate, it does not look level but it was the ONLY way we could get the latch to line up to close properly. Blame that on the baseboards, possibly uneven walls, I'm not sure but it's what we had to do.
