Summer Infant - Deluxe Wood Gate, Dark Brown

After much product review and review reading. I purchased this gate. I absolutely love it. It is great! Keeps back my 94 pound Shepherd and 3 year old. The assembly is easy, I did it in 10 minutes. Just read the directions don't jump ahead. My doorway is 36 inches, I was unable to use both extensions. I could only use (1) on one side. So imagine the picture obove missing (1) wood slat on the right side. The extensions and tension knobs add about (6) inches on each side on the gate. At first I was bummed but it looks great anyway. The tension has not slipped at all and it locks by itself. It is not solid wood so yes it will scratch. The color is dark brown walnut, my solid walnut floors are lighter, but it matches just fine.

When I took the gate out of the box I was so pleased with the appearance. It was so pretty. After starting to put it together and install it I figured out what a joke this gate was. The wood was not even glued together correctly and the entire gate was so warped that there is no way that it would have worked in my doorway. It also was very difficult to install....if I would have gotten that far. I searched for the perfect gate for a long time and this seemed like the one even though I had read bad reviews. I just had to try it for myself though and now understand exactly what everyone was talking about. It went back to the store the next day. Don't waste your time and money purchasing this product.

Looks good but the gate doesn't automatically close as stated. I use it for my dog and it gets the job done. It was overpriced and a disappointment because it doesn't work as advertised.

This looks nice and is an upgrade from the cheaper gates we have had that fall apart easily. The 4 dogs have made some scratch marks but a little stain can solve that problem. Easy to assemble with instructions!

These gates are awesome. They're nice looking, very functional and very easy to put together. The only downfall is they are kind of expensive, but in my opinion they are worth it.
