I just purchased this saw recently. I've used it twice on my tree. It works very well. I'm up in my years so it felt a little bit heavy when the pole is full extended. Overall, it's a very good saw.

the ONLY issue I have was in selecting the appropriate extension cord. the placard indicated 14-guage, the formula I used and two electricians told me 12-guage for 100' of cord. After that, it cut well, the oval design of the pole and locking mechanism is great. I usually wear safety glasses when sawing wood or other work, but since you'll be working overhead, I'd suggest indirect vented goggles. that way the chips won't get in behind the Len's. I found the 6.5 amp sufficient and I'm glad it has a kick back chain. working at extension like that those jumps would be worse. Read the instructions! keep the cord away from the cutting path and check your oil! before each use. OH! Keep the plug cap. it'll come in handy for storage. happy with it so far. I'll let you know at the end of the season.

The saw is light weight which I needed. I had purchased another model, but it was too heavy to handle. Also, it appear's to be a good quality product. Gene W.
