Sunbeam Heating Pad for Pain Relief | XL King Size SoftTouch, 4 Heat Settings with Auto-Off | Teal, 12-Inch x 24-Inch

Heats well but after a few months , I suddenly got burned from being electrocuted from the cord. The plastic snapped from manipulation which exposed the wires. Scared it could cause a fire so I won't use it until I can get a replacement cord.

I bought the King size 4 temperature heating pad with automatic shut off 1 day ago, to replace my previous one that just stopped working (blinking red light). Unlike the previous one it only has one tepid temperature, from watm to high.

I bought 2 of these over the last few years. This is by far my favorite heating pad. However, when it “gets too hot” (i use quotations because it was on low) it starts to blink red. I have unplugged it for up to 24 hours and it still would not work. Earlier this year one of them stopped working and sadly this one has had the blinking red light of death as i call it. It never works again once it does this. Plugging and unplugging does not reset it. This is currently the only thing bringing me relief for my medical issues & I am so sad that my last one has stopped working as well. I really wish there was a way to reset this or resolve it. I would give 4 stars if so. Only other thing is the remote gets hot and started to turn yellow. You can smell a burning smell at times which worries me. I have otherwise had no issues and used these every day for a couple of years.

This heating pad on the lowest setting will burn your back 50% of the time. The heating regulator is unpredictable and I've had to turn it off because I couldn't use it because it was too hot on low. And for some unexplained reason. sometimes it will heat correctly

I bought this and used it everyday. After two weeks it stop working. Tried resetting by unplugging and all it does is blink. I don't have the box or proof of purchase, so I guess the only option is to put it where it belongs, the trash. Based on the reviews Sunbeam should recall this pad.
