Sunbeam Warming Herringbone Blanket, Twin Denim

Nice to set the warmth & turn the blanket on a 1/2 hr before jumping in bed ~ we like to turn all the heat off at night ~ not only it is better to breathe cool air at night but turning the heat off at night saves $$$! I bet it won't take long to pay for the blanket with the saved electric from not heating up the whole house!

Wanted an electric blanket, but was unsure which one to buy. so I read the reviews on other blankets and this one and decided on this one because others complained of those fuzzie balls all over. I am happy to report this one has performed beyond my expectations. Unlike others, this one warms up quickly, is softer to the skin than it looks, and is very durable. I bought the Queen size which seemed a bit high..but most Queen sizes are I guesss. Dual controls nice for myself and wife to stay warm n comfy. If I forget and leave it on, it will shut off in a few hours as it has an auto shut off after 10 hours ( 10 minus your 8 hours of sleep). When I'm ready for bed, I'll flip the switch on...change..brush teeth..and the bed is nice and toasty for me and oh so awesome instead of shivering with the cold sheets. Electronic readouts, I love everything about this blanket, and best of all, NO FUZZIE BALLS ! Don't let the look of the picture fool you, this blanket is super soft underneath.

This product was purchased at WalMart's new store in Hemet, CA in 2005. It worked for a few months that year. When I put it on the bed in 2006 there was a problem with this product heating the whole bed (queen size). Well, this year (2008) it just did NOT WORK AT ALL. No way I could even donate it to Charities NOR could I find the receipt to take it back...so it is now in the landfill closest to Hemet, CA. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ITEM.

I bought this blanket about 3 months ago and we like it, but there's a few things I don't like about it. I don't like the dial because it could be smaller and do the same job. The On and Off switch are hard to find when it's dark. They should light up with the blanket is on. The blanket does not turn off automatically when we forget to turn it off in the morning. It is a nice heating blanket though and hopefully will hold up when I wash it this spring.

This is the second Sunbeam electric blanket I have owned. It is a very attractive pattern, and the 10 auto shut off is a nice feature however this blanked did the same thing the one I bought last year did. After 6 days one side would not heat thoroughly, it would only heat ant the top or the bottom where the other side would heat evenly. Same issue with the one last year.
