This unit is well designed and relatively easy to assemble. It recommends having two people for certain parts of the assembly, but I was able to complete the assembly of this unit by myself in less than two hours. Well designed.
In terms of functionality and durability I give this shed 5 stars. On price, maybe 3 stars? So average out to 4 stars. I can't understand why a big pile of injection molded plastic is so expensive... I found a couple of sheds on the market that I think are pretty much equivalent in terms of quality, but a bit larger and cheaper. But this one fits my needs better because: --At ~3.5' deep it fits nicely up against the garage (not too deep so that it intrudes on the utility right of way) --It is low enough to fit up under the eaves of the garage (pretty much everything this size and larger 8"-10" taller) This is the 2nd one of these sheds I bought. I bought the first one cheap from a previous owner of several years that really loved it, but had moved into an apartment. I lugged it home, reassembled it and used it for about 5 more years before selling the house and (still kicking myself...) leaving it behind. The shed had a little green growth/slime down low on the side panels (nothing that couldn't be easily removed with a little bleach spray of water), but was otherwise good as new. So I looked at every other similar shed available and wound up buying this same shed all over again brand new. It's just wide enough to comfortably fit the mower and all of my other lawn care stuff. I added small restaurant style wire shelving units at each end and put in a couple of 1"x3" boards overhead with hanging hooks for my weed eater and leaf blower. It's just right to get all that stuff out of the garage, without a bunch of extra space that would just get stacked with random junk.
This purchase went smoothly and easily set up. Provides a lot of storage.
So far, this storage shed has proven to be perfect for our needs. We built a concrete foundation on our small but sturdy patio. We laid the storage shed on top of it. I secured it to the floor with 6 concrete anchors. I then bought 2 steel shelving units at Sears and I accommodated both inside of the shed. These shelving units hold my heaviest tools without laying on the fragile but sturdy plastic storage shed walls. The shed does not leak water at all. I use a lock to keep it safe. I assembled the shed by myself. Assembling the roof can get to your nerve but I managed to do it alone. Its best if you have someone to help you. The shed tolerates the North Carolina winter without any problems. Its just perfect. My wife and I are very happy. I think you should really consider buying a couple of steel shelving units to get the most out of the shed. Measure carefully and make sure your foundation is strong. Walmart delivered the shed to my closest Walmart store for free and the shed fitted perfectly inside my minivan. Thank You Suncast and Walmart, Alfredo
Easy to put together, functional ,all I needed to do
