SupraGel is a newly formulated cross-linked sterile amorphous hydrogel containing complex carbohydrates, CMC, propylene glycol and ultra pure water. Due to its fully cross-linked nature, no maceration occurs and SupraGel maintains its physical integrity throughout its use. SupraGel is suitable for application and management of many different wound types. SupraGel will rehydrate dry wounds thus facilitating granulation and re-epithelialisation. • Burns 1st and 2nd degree, sunburn, blisters, rashes, grazes, diaper rash. • Leg ulcers, cavity wounds, pressure ulcers, fistulas, post operative surgical wounds, and post scaring • Applied directly into clean wound and covered by secondary dressing of choice, e.g. SupraCel • Can be used on a wide spectrum of wound types and can be removed easily and changed daily if wound is exuding heavily • Will absorb excess exudate from wound surface reducing risk of maceration • A balanced moist environment will be maintained at wound surface therefore enhancing the healing process • When removed, it will not leave dressing fragments in the wound • Can be left in place for up to 7 days dependent on wound condition • Will donate moisture to wound surface to prevent wound drying out • Easy to apply using one hand • Supplied Sterile when first opened • May be used in conjunction with prescribed systemic antibiotic treatment under supervision Method of use: Supragel is simple to apply and is supplied sterile in a tube delivery system. The wound should be cleaned prior to gel application. Please refer to the instructions for use (IFU) that is enclosed with the tube. Wound Maintenance: The frequency of change will be dependent on the ongoing condition of the wound. Depending on the amount of exudates Supragel hydrogel may be left undisturbed in the wound for up to 7-days due to its ability to maintain a moisture balanced environment. Dry wounds may require changing every second day, subject to prevailing wound condition. SupraGel should be changed if leakage occurs through the secondary dressing. The gel may be removed by gently irrigating the wound with a sterile saline solution 0.9%. – SupraGel has a Bacteriostatic action, which inhibits bacterial growth
