Almost...that sums up this device. Hopefully on the next iteration of this device there will be 1 improvement and 1 new addition. Please improve the display, make it bigger and easier to read from 10 ft away. Please add in a cross over. Even if it's just a high pass for the mains (100, 80, 60hz option maybe) Tone controls are ok, but I think most would benefit from a crossover. The sound is very robust. I think it could use a little a little refinement on the top end (treble_x000D_ ). The hdmi works fine. Playfi isn't as bad as I heard it was, it's still not as good as some others, but it's Heos level competent. And please add a physical power button to the unit.

I bought this in hopes that it would complement my outdoor speaker setup but once I connected it, I immediately knew it wasn't going to work because the base levels are set and you cannot control them. It sounded distorted and I wish they would have placed an equalized to adjust the sounds but it isn't there. The power output is great but without the ability to adjust, it isn't good at all for me and my needs so I had to return it unfortunately.

Not much this tiny monster of a receiver/streamer can't do. It does everything better than any of its competitors but falls short of two shortcomings. There is no on/off switch for this receiver and there are no tone/eq controls either. Lots of low end that can be overbearing at times, misses the crisp highs and also some mid's. For this price-point this is a must have. This amazing device gets so close. I expect when the next iteration comes out with these features it will sell like hot cakes. For now, I'll (sadly) pass...

After reading the reviews, and after using the PB-1000 Pro for almost a year on my home theater setup, I decide to purchase this. I have 2 old Sony tower speakers that I knew have some decent quality. I believe I got them in the late 90s, but while using them with a receiver as part of the home theater, I knew something was missing when I listened to music. For years I just dealt with that and eventually just watched movies. _x000D_ _x000D_ This Soundbase with the PB-1000 Pro subwoofer brought back the type of sound I remember when I was younger when my dad had a Technics Hi-Fi system. Although I think the towers I have don't reproduce high fidelity, I am pretty happy with the result for now. You can really feel the punch when listening to music with this. I can't wait to get myself some SVS Prime Tower speakers in the near future; simply amazing!
