Swingline Stack-and-Shred 130X Auto Feed Shredder, Super Cross-Cut (1757571D)

At first glance, it seemed to be a great price/value. However, it doesn't perform consistently. The 'sheet feeder' often doesn't 'feed' meaning, rather than drop in the papers and let the machine do the work, I've had to pull out the papers and feed them individually. Since the feeder mechanism actually folds the papers as it feeds, it essentially doubles what is going through the shredding mechanism. So , if more papers come along with the sheet getting fed, it can cause a jam. You'll need to make sure the sheets are not tight - that is, fan through them after the staples are removed. If you want a genuine auto sheet feeder, this is not it. If you want a basic shredder, there are plenty of other less expensive options out in the marketplace.

I bought this for my husband's business. It jams regularly, sometimes so bad that the forward & reverse anti-jam buttons don't work. It says it will handle 130 sheets at a time, but to prevent jams I have had to keep the stack to 30 - 40 sheets at a time. Very disappointed!

Love the fact that I can put a stack of paper in the shredder and do other things while it's doing the shredding. Working in a Dr.'s office we have a lot of shredding. This is a workhorse.

This was purchased for my wife's use at tax time. She has used it and raves about its cutting ability; the amount off paper it holds (up to 100 sheets at a time); and the speed with it works. It has cut her time from days of shredding papers after dinner to just a couple hours one night. The only drawback is it would work faster if it had a bigger bin to catch the shreds and eliminate having to dump it so many times.

It is a very nice size shredder to have in a small office, and even in a medium size office as well because it can shred up to 100 sheets at a time by just opening the lid, put them down, and close the lid back. That's it. The only thing that I am disappointed about is that I thought it was silent (noise free), but it is not. Beside that, I love it.
