Water does stay cold for 24 hours, ice does melt fairly quickly..

Love this style water bottle. I am not a fan of the straw type and this style has a nice wide sipper spout. Just have to make sure the cap is screwed tightly before you lay it down. One time I neglected to do that - learned my lesson with a wet handbag. When it's tightened, it never, ever leaks. Great water bottle. Ice stays ice for two days!

I have purchased many water bottles over the years, including other pricey competor brands. Takeya Actives is the best water bottle I have found. I travel with one (empty) through airport security, hooked onto my backpack. I lost several Takeya bottles over the years (my fault). I even backed over one while i was camping. It survived the event, dented and scratched, fully functional! This is the brand I purchase as gifts for friends and family. Don't hesitate, just buy one!

The 22 ounce size is much more efficient than my 18 ounce bottle. Despite the seemingly small difference in capacity, it seems that I can go appreciably longer between refills. Also, the 22 oz. bottle is the same diameter as its smaller cousin so it still fits nicely in my car's cup/bottle holders. Remember to remove and clean the two seals on the main cap and the drinking spout as they can get moldy even with daily washing of the bottle.

I have tried several other brands of water bottles and this one does not dissapoint. I have found it to be slightly lighter than others I have tried, yet it feels just as sturdy as others with the same price point. This is not a cheap water bottle, but it does keep your drinks cool even after several hours sitting in the hot Florida sun while you are on the pickleball court. I haven't tried it past about 6 hours sitting on the court, but even at that point, I had a cold drink with ice still left in the bottle. The entire time, the bottle was sitting in direct sunlight. I did get the blue version of the bottle not knowing how heat might get absorbed by the sun. Based on how cold everything stayed, it is probably safe to choose any color. This is the second purchase of the same bottle, just in a different color.
