They combined the dynamic excellence of a solid maple shell with a slightly sharper Starclassic bearing edge and 8-lug Brass Sound Arc hoops to create an ultra- sensitive, clear and bright tone. The shell is finished in hand-rubbed oil with Star inlay pattern. Tama's newly developed Star Tube Lugs w/lug nuts are included for highly articulate tuning. Supersensitive Hi-Carbon Snare Wires which feature a thin brass plate and softer hi-carbon coils respond to even the softest touch on the edge of the batter head, which is a Remo coated Ambassador batter head. The snare-side head is a Remo Ambassador clear. This drum delivers lightning fast response at all dynamic levels. Meticulously hand-crafted in Japan by Tama's master drum craftsmen, attention to detail is the order of the build.
