I bought this for my 4 year old son (and myself :-) This product was a lot better than I imagined. It comes with a tripod, a viewer scope for finding objects easily, 3 eye pieces, a Barlow lens, an erecting eye piece and a moon filter. Instructions to assemble the telescope are included. You will of course need to attend a starter course in astronomy to use all the different accessories, and is correctly outside the scope of the assembly manual. Very satisfied with this product so far. As with any specialty optical instrument, extreme care should be used while handling this telescope.

I bought this to look at the stars with my 8 year old daughter. She loves rocks and I thought it would be great to encourage her to think big! It was fairly easy to put together, but a lot of parts and not good descriptions as to how to use each item. It was more complicated than I thought it would be to use the different lenses that are included and to find and focus on the item you want to see. However, it did serve its purpose. I thought I would get this inexpensive one to see if we would use it enough to invest in something more sophisticated and I've decided to move to a bigger, stronger, better unit. It was a good investment.

I bought this telescope for my husband's birthday. I picked it up on my lunch break and had it set up within the hour. It was very easy to put together and very easy to use. My husband loves it.

We returned this telescope. If you have even a poor pair of binoculars, they will be more effective than this telescope. The manufacturer claims you can see the rings of Saturn, etc. The scope just does not perform that well. I could get a street lamp about 30 feet away to come in clearly, but that is all. I couldn't even get it to focus on the moon. POOR POOR quality.

I bought this telescope for my son for Christmas. It was a good price and easy to assemble. We were heartbroken when we couldn't view anything out of it. The lens was broken, so we had to send it back for a repacement. Not what a 9 year old wants to hear on Christmas day....
