Tasty Metal Citrus Press with Pour Spouts, Yellow

The weight and sturdiness and happy bright yellow color of this handy juicer won me over. The 'Tasty Metal Citrus Press with Pour Spouts, Yellow' is convenient for squeezing some lime juice on a taco to squeezing morning oranges to squeezing lemon juice into a fancy cocktail. I appreciate the rubber "feet" on the bottom for a non-skid grip on the countertop – it helps when you want to squeeze out that last drop of vitamin c from any citrus. It's cute enough with its cheerful yellow color to leave out on the counter to be ready when cooking or prepping a meal or beverage.

I like how this citrus juicer has legs on it with non-skid grippers so it can sit on the table top level when squeezing lemons, limes, oranges and yes I've even attempted a grapefruit. The juicer is well made, sturdy and easy to use. The more I've played with it I've learned that using smaller lemons and limes make it more difficult to use it properly. I've seen some flaws within it which is while juicing the lemons most of the time it has a tendency to squirt lemon juice out the sides where it doesn't close completely. Then this makes an extra mess for me to have to clean up and I've lost said juice that could have been used for something else. However otherwise it's been ok so far and a great kitchen tool for when I'm making lemon pies.

This citrus press is so easy to use. There's no need to strain or pick out the seeds. Once you press the citrus, the juice goes into a built-in collection dish with easy pour spouts on either side for right or left handed users. Also, there are anti-skid feet on the bottom so it doesn't slip on the countertop when in use. Very well made and durable.

I was exited to try this Tasty brand metal citrus press, as I currently only have the manual ones that use a reamer. The juicer is a good size for both lemons or limes. I really liked that instead of squeezing with two hands, you set the juicer on a tabletop (has non-skid feet on the bottom) and push the top lever down. This is an easier motion for people that may not have a lot of hand strength. You can then pick up and tilt to pour out the juice through the built in strainer on either side. It's very easy to clean and seems well constructed and durable. I love the bright and cheerful lemon yellow color! This is a great design in theory, but unfortunately it has a few flaws that made me knock it down one star. Because this collects the juice inside the bottom, there is extra space around the sides where the top and bottom rounded parts meet. The juice has a tendency to squirt out the sides while you are juicing because of the extra room. Also, it didn't squeeze the citrus dry like the reamers types can. However, the ease of use and built in strainer may make it worth it to overlook these imperfections as reamers certainly have their own flaws also (pain to clean, tiresome to use, can still get squirted by juice)! I am really glad to have this metal citrus press to add to my kitchen tool collection!

I was a bit disappointed with this citrus press considering it was Tasty. When I received it, the paint was already chipping off. It is much larger than my other press. It does have legs on it so it can sit flat on a surface. I do like that it makes less of a mess with not having the strainer at the bottom. Instead it has the strainer on the sides allowing for no seeds to pop through. Major issue is you can't use smaller lemons or Limes. It won't press fully getting all the juice. This works more for larger citrus fruit.
