Tasty MIGHTY Stainless Steel Kitchen Tongs, Silicone Tips and Steel Reinforced Teeth, Tasty Blue

The light blue silicone grippers stained after just one use while making chicken tikka masala. The reddish staining has not come out after multiple cleanings by hand. If you can live with this, then these are great! These are indeed longer than my old tongs, have a helpful resting edge and nubby teeth, and have a broader clamping area to grab ahold of food more easily. I just wish the silicone didn’t stain like it did; it defeats the point of even having the nice light blue color option.

I have been very pleased with these tongs. They are longer than most tongs I’ve used in the past which makes picking up large items, like a whole chicken, a much easier task. I am a senior and have found that the little prongs on the end of the gripper make using these tongs much easier for me. No need to use a second utensil the lift hot foods from a roasting pan. I think these tongs are great and I will be using them whenever using tongs are required. Great product.

These tongs are a perfect size measuring 13" total. Fully open they can hold something just over 6". There are silicone teeth on the edges and in the center to insure a good grip. On the end of the tongs is a silicone covered metal piece with a hole that can be pulled up to lock the tongs closed for hanging or to put in drawer. The metal goes all the way from top to bottom so the silicone grips have the metal under them preventing them from being flimsy when trying to grasp. So far they've worked just great!

I have used these tongs for a multitude of cooking chores. I especially like them to remove spaghetti. I usually use the tongs to remove the spaghetti since I use the pasta water for finishing off dishes. The rubber, “grippy” teeth on the tongs make it easy to remove the slippery spaghetti. They are also long enough to reach to the bottom of the large pasta pot without getting burned. I would recommend.

These Tasty Tongs are honestly the best ones I've ever used and far exceeded all my expectations. I love everything about them and use them everyday for a myriad of things from frying to serving salad to holding on to things that other tongs I've had wouldn't. I love they're made of heat proof silicone rather than metal and the grippers on the inside are the best! They allow me to get a firm grip that doesn't slip on everything I've used them for. Another amazing feature is the push up lock that keeps them closed so you can put them in your utensil drawer without taking up lots of room and getting hooked on everything else. I also like the color options, I chose blue and love the way it goes with everything in my kitchen. I would highly recommend these, they are truly the best tongs I've ever had!!
