He loved them the moment he put them on. He loves how adjustable and customizable the fit is - with or without black socks! LOL
The moment I put these sandals on I was hooked! Instant comfort! That doesn't happen very often. I will definitely buy other colors and styles when I need to. I am a true size 7 and the fit is perfect.
I tried to buy sandals that cost around $80. Twice they shipped the wrong design. Twice I had to go out of my way to package and return them to the post office. I finally told them I had enough! So here I wait for months trying to get my refund. They claim it is a mistake that they didn't refund my credit card but they continue to keep my funds. What a pathetic company to do business with. Do they think if they hold on to money that is not theirs long enough that they make money off the interest?!
This review is actually for the last pair of Hurricane XLT2s that I bought last year. Let me tell you, I love my Tevas. I can't count how many pairs I've had over the years. I've had Tevas that lasted several years, and survived camping on Catalina twice a year during those. I'm used to wearing through the sole before the straps fail. I used to put them in the washing machine- cold, no dryer- but then the soles started delaminating. So I glued them back together and stopped doing that. This last pair blew a strap early on. I retrieved the invoice only to discover they were 14 months old and the warranty is only good for 12. Very disappointed, but still bought TWO more pair. At this rate, I'll have to start buying them three or four pair at a time to keep pace with the failure rate. Then today I see that the sandals I paid 70 for a couple weeks ago are now 49. The only advice I have to offer is y'all should buy some better glue. And you might try putting a steel shank in your more heavy-duty hiking sandals. And if you're really feeling crazy, you could make a cycling version you can mount cleats to the bottom of, like KEEN used to make. Just my .02
So comfortable - right out of the box. Quick adjustment of the straps, ready to go. Wear them everyday and can't wait to wear them on the beach and in the water.
