I purchased this desk to give my wife a nice place to do her studying -- instead of on the kitchen table. Since I've assembled several Sauder products before, I was eager to tackle this, my largest to date. Although it took several hours, it was easy to assemble. The instructions are really well written; the hardware was all there, and the way it was packed made for no damage at all. She loves it and it looks great in our small office/computer room. Sauder is an outstanding manufacturer of assemble-yourself furniture and Walmart offered it at a bargain price. We couldn't be happier with our choice.

This is definitely a quality desk that is extremely nice looking. It looks like a nice piece of antique furniture in my office and I really like it. But it's also one of the cheapest assemble-yourself desks I've ever seen. The fasteners are friction based and also rely on gravity. The result of which is if you try to lift the desk to move it, they come apart. Not a big deal at all once the desk is in place, but it makes moving it almost impossible. Overall, I really like it and it certainly looks nice. I just wish the fasteners weren't so cheap.

I bought this for my kids to use as a computer desk, and a homework spot - and so far we are really enjoying it. There is space on the desktop for the monitor as well as extra space to work, since the keyboard has its own slide out drawer. I love the shelf inside the door to put papers, and the one on the hutcjh holds other things - like pens, photos, books. It looks good, and was not too difficult to put together I did it by myself, took several hours, but it's done!

My husband and I down-sized from a much larger desk to this product...we were very happy to find that this desk met all our needs and expectations! It was easy to put together and looks fantastic. Great value for the money, and we couldn't be more pleased with its appearance! It is well made and doesn't look "cheap" in the slightest. It has made a wonderful addition to our family room. We have owned Sauder products in the past and have never been disappointed...I highly recommend this item!

We bought this item to go in our first apartment. It was fun putting it together but it took us a long time. The wood is real sturdy and strong. We like the structure so much that we turned around and bought the entertainment center that matches this !
