The installation could have been simplified. if there was a USB port on the Epson 545. I could not find one and no reference to USB port or diagram in the users quick start guide. Programming through the Epson 545 is more time consuming but still feasible.

Overall, I chose this over HP, my standard for printers because it seemed a better price and more options. While I am still having some issues with the networking of this printer with my other devices, I think the only fault is the instructions and directions needed to install on all of your devices(laptops, workstations in your home) There are, in my opinion, too many options which you should read carefully. Overall though, the printing is very good and fast; the other options, fax, scanner and copier are very good.

I sent this to my mother who lives in Philly and is 75 years old, not only didnt it work but it messed up her brand new computer, dell is working on the computer right now, but im not in philly to even help her carry it back to walmart. this turn out to a bad idea.

I read lots of reviews before deciding to purchase. I already had an HP photo all in one printer, which had stopped working wirelessly. I also needed an air printer for my Mac products. Installation was just as easy as all the other reviewers stated. It also prints much faster than my HP printer. The paper tray is a little flimsy. The HP printer did have a separate tray for photo paper which made printing pictures very easy. I haven't tried printing pictures on the workforce yet, but expect it to be a little more difficult because I have to remove the regular paper and add the photo paper. So far though, I am very pleased

I got tired of sending mail when a fax would suffice so I decided to get a fax machine. I ended up buying this Workforce 545 and am frankly amazed at its abilities and performance considering the very reasonable price. Set up took a little while but was not at all difficult. After about 1/2 Hr. I was ready to rock and sent my brother a test fax. NO problem. Went straight through. Best of all you can fax B&W or color! The copier function is well thought out also and works flawlessly. Scanned a few high quality photos and the result was very good. The printer comes with FULL ink cartridges! The print quality was fine. There is a bit of graininess at the faster speeds but that's to be expected. Finally, this thing is FAST. Black and white printing shoots out very quickly. All in all, I'm quite thrilled with my new 545. I've had several Epson printers in the past so I have no doubt this unit will be equally reliable. Well done Epson. Another great product.
