Thinkfun Zingo 1-2-3 7703 While playing with Zingo! 1-2-3, children will have the chance to develop important learning, social and maths skills. These include: counting, simple addition, number sense, comparing and estimating, shapes and matching, word learning, fine motor skills and coordination, following directions, waiting for turns, winning and losing. Objective: To be the first player to cover the pictures on his/her card with the appropriate numbers from the Zingo dispenser. Note: This game can also be used to teach English vocabulary as the pictures have English numbers written underneath them. Preparation: The top cover of the Zingo dispenser is lifted up and removed. After the Zingo stones are mixed and placed evenly in both slots of the Zingo machine, the top cover is replaced. All players should have a clear view of the Zingo dispenser. Each player chooses a Zingo 1-2-3 card. All players must play with the same coloured side of the card. Both sides of the cards are levelled according to colour. The green coloured cards contain the number of objects corresponding to the written number. On the red coloured cards on the other side, the objects are in two groups and there is an addition sign between them. However, the results of the addition operations are not on the cards. For this reason, players should first find the results of the figurative additions by using their addition skills and match them with the numbers coming out of the machine. Players should use surfaces of the same colour when playing. The Game: One player is the dealer and uses the Zingo dealer alone or each player takes turns using the Zingo dealer during the game. For the first game, we recommend that an adult or the oldest child be the dealer or start as the dealer. Each back and forth movement of the Zingo dealer reveals 2 tiles. When a player sees a number of objects on his/her card that matches the number revealed, he/she says this number aloud and takes the stone and places it on this group of objects. If not picked up, the dealer throws the tiles through the holes in the top of the machine. If more than one player needs the number, the one who says the number out loud first wins the tile. If the Zingo dealer can't decide who says the number first, he puts the piece back in the machine. If a player calls out a number that he/she does not need, the tile is given to the next player who needs it and calls it out correctly. The first player to cover all the pictures on his/her card with the correct number of tiles wins the game by shouting Zingo. The winning player becomes the Zingo dealer or starts the game as the Zingo dealer.
