Thomas & Friends TrackMaster Avalanche Escape Set

My wife and I bought this set for our 3 year old grandson who loves Thomas & Friends. While he enjoyed it the first couple of trips around the track, he and I both became disturbed as the train was getting stuck after traveling under the tipping track. My grandson became so upset that he doesn't play with it anymore. I wish the set really lived up to the "continuous play" as advertised.

For as much as this thing costs, I would expect a better set of directions on how to put the thing together! The set we got for our son had some of the support towers that wouldn't click in properly no matter what I tried. Other issues that I found are how flimsy the entire setup was. Thomas had an axle bend within the first 24 hours of being played with!! Overall my son loves this thing, and keeps it going CONSTANTLY. To the tune of having had to replace the batteries 7 times, since Christmas.

My son was so happy when he saw this track. He loves thomas the train anything so when i got this to review from Bzz agent i knew he would be excited. This toy has a great size for kids. They love big toys right. He loves the track features and tries to get good speed on the track. He can sit and play for long periods of time without getting bored. He expresses great imagination during play. Making up stories and talking as the characters. I love it. Its a toy that they won't play with just for a day and forget about. Many hours this has been played with so far and no signs of boredom yet.

. All the family helped setting it up, the boys ( 9,7 and 3) were impressed how amusing the train building the tracks was. It took us about 15 minutes set it all together , and it was as exciting as watching thomas roll. Every time thomas jumped , you can hear their excitements. Overall a very fun toy for all ages . I actually cant wait to buy the other thomas friends characters and try them.It is set was fairly easy to set up( with a help of an adult ) well build. I believe its a great toy for a parent and children to share together , the only issue for me that this toy does take a lot of space, so I have to take it apart every time they finish playing and make sure you set it on hard surface and not carpet.

I received this free from Fisher-Price to review. My 3 year old likes it, but it has some issues. The directions were a waste of paper. I had to look at the picture on the box to put it together. It's huge. We don't have the biggest house, so leaving this in the middle of the living room or my son's room is out of the question. It's too much of a pain to put together every time my son wants to play with it. It only works well on a completely level surface. It had issues on our carpet, when the train resets. The tower would reset, but be slightly off and the train would get stuck. Parts of the track that are supposed to touch the floor don't. They hover a few centimeters above the floor. Once we moved it to our hardwood floor it worked much better, but parts of the track still don't touch the floor. My 3 year old son loves the Thomas part of the train, but he lost interest in the track after a few rotations. It's hard for him to put Thomas on the track correctly, so he gets easily frustrated with it. He loves playing with the Thomas engine on the floor. He even brings it to bed with him. Overall I wouldn't suggest it to parents unless they have a lot of dedicated toy space.
