Seed Savers Exchange obtained 'Russian Black' from their friends at the Digger's Club in Australia who in turn received the original seed from a gardening fanatic. Its charcoal black flesh has good flavor while the fruits themselves can grow to the size of baseballs as they did in 1998 at Heritage Farm. Indeterminate, 80 days from transplant.
