TomTom GO 730 - GPS navigator - automotive 4.3" widescreen

I just bought this Tom Tom for my trip across country. This is my second Tom Tom and by far the best I've ever bought. I also bought it while it was on sale @269.99 while the regular price was 349.99. This Tom Tom however has some disadvantages to it that I think everyone should know. The blue tooth was a pain in the rear to set up especially with my phone which is a fairly new model (LG VU) but after a while I installed the updates for it Via computer and the blue tooth worked. Another problem with this unit is the FM transmitter. I was under the impression you could hook up your Ipod through your Tom Tom and it would play into the car stereo. I've tried and tried and no luck. I went to Best Buy and bought myself the right cables and everything. I have no idea what I am doing wrong on that end. If you plan on buying this Tom Tom just for the blue tooth or FM transmitter for Ipod control, you're better off passing on this unit and getting something else. But the advantages to this unit are great. When I was traveling, it would let me know the speed limit on the highways. It would also have actual restaurant and gas station signs displayed in the Tom Tom instead of just having a plain restaurant or gas station symbol. Another great advantage to the unit is easy accessibility. The unit really isn't hard to get use to. But overall, it's not a bad unit for the price paid for it.

Used this product for 4 days. Speaker volume is low. POI is not easy. Takes you 200 meters away from you actual destination.

This is my first GPS Unit so I didn't know much about them when I bought this one. It seems to always be off by about 300 feet on destinations but maybe that is common to all of them. Easy to learn and easy to use. All considered I am very pleased with this purchase.

My husband is hard to shop for, so when he recently changed jobs within his company and now has to call on his customers at their homes, the idea of a gps system entered into the picture. Not knowing anything about them, I took a chance with this Tom Tom. My husband really likes his unit, even told me that it was a great gift! Happy Birthday!

This is the second go730, we've had, we loved the first one (which we borrowed from a relative) but it was stolen from our vehicle. So we purcahsed this one through Wal-mart to replace it. We know this product is very useful, however this particular one is not. It came in another language , not in spanish or french (which we could at least naviagte enough to fix) but something like dutch. It came that way out of the box and we can't do a thing with it.Reset doesn't do anything and we are very disappointed.
