TomTom NAVIGATOR 130S Automobile Portable GPS Navigator

We bought this to use for our family trip to Florida. We drove from Michigan to Orlando Florida and this GPS worked great. Not only did it get us to where we needed to go, it also had some great extras. It told me me what restaurants were along our route. I could even type in a restaurant or hotel that I wanted to find and it would find the closest one to us. It was very easy to use. It was definately a good product, especially for the price.

was fairly helpful in navigating me to the correct places, sent me on a couple wrong turns on some trips. not very user friendly. maps not always up to date. i do not recommend this product. after using it for 3 months it stopped working and does not turn on. will not buy another TomTom product. very unhappy with the results.

Very user friendly. I gave this as a gift to my son, who called me constantly, because he always got lost. Because TomTom announces the street names and turns in advance, he is a safer driver, and uses less gas. It eliminates stress for both of us and allows him to concentrate more on the road and what is going on around him.

I loved this GPS! I`m looking to buy a new one (exactly the same). I just gave 4 stars because after 26 days it just shut off and it didn`t turn on again. I really think something was wrong with this one, not with all of 130s. So it`s a good product, but next time maybe I`ll buy an extra warranty, just in case!!!!

This is a great GPS unit for the price, particularly if you are looking for text-to-speech functionality. You have to use the computer voices instead of the other voice options in order to get the text to speech. It would be neat if you could use the other voices too, but hey the price is great. I use the computer voice for street names when taking road trips or going to new cities or unfamilar places. If I'm using it to get to a new place around town I use the british voice because I'm pretty familiar with street names even if I've never been to the particular destination before.
