This is an excellent little projector for the price. There are numerous projectors on the market, but if you're looking for a small, cheap projector that uses inexpensive bulbs that are easy to find and buy then I'd recommend this product. Follow the directions - use it in a darkened room on a white or very light wall\screen and the image is fine. The pixels show up - but who cares if all you want to do is enlarge the TV or DVD image. It's certainly good enough for general watching. If, however, you want something with perfect or near perfect image (brightness, clarity etc.) then you're going to have to spend the big dollars to buy and maintain it. This little projector is good enough for those who just want a big screen to watch (easiest after dark) for the family or for the kids. I'm 40 years old - we have a good projector in one room and this works brilliantly for the kids with heavy curtains drawn and lights off on a beige wall. The set up is easy, the projector is extremely mobile (& very easy to carry) and it has a switching power supply which works on 110 and 240 Volt power supplies. I believe it can also run off 12 volt which makes it good for camping etc. I'd recommend this projector for those who don't want to mess around or pay for the expensive electronics and who want to run it alongside the TV, DVD, Video or Games Console for a bit of fun and a chance to watch large screen images.
I bought this for my 13 yo son for Christmas. I paid 75.00 for it and we have enjoyed it so much! I was really suprised how well it worked on just our white wall. IF it is too far away it does get grainy but the sound and picture are great for family fun nights. I was reluctant to purchase it at first because some of the comments but decided to go with it and WE are all happy I did. It was my son's best gift and he plays his 360 and Wii on it. I recommend it for the average family who wants to have fun!!!! Thanks
Okay, so some of the reviews were awful.. but I was ready to try it at twice the price... and I'm glad I did.. we watched movies on the ceiling for my daughters birthday and we cant wait until the warm weather to watch movies outside.. I dont know what the complainers have a problem with.. Make no mistake, this is for kids.. and since replacement bulbs are so cheap.. it is to be used... yes, it has to be dark.. and yes, its not a super sharp picture like from a 2200 dollar projector.. duh. It is however fun.. easy to use.. and cheap to run.. I'm glad I took a chance... its a ton of fun.
after reading some other reviews I was skeptical but for 75 bucs thought why not and we had an old movie screen, the room needs to be dark but we have watched movies and tv and football games. of course it not hd but who would think that it shoukd be for the price who cares. Fun for the kids and the sound is good and picture ok
I saw excellent reviews from people who bought this at $150. When Walmart dropped the price to $75, I thought it was a steal! I figured it might do well for my son's Wii, which itself has low resolution by today's standards. Well, it took all of 15 minutes for my excited 9 yr old to realize that his 19" LCD TV was more fun!! Well, for $75, it does project something and even has built in speakers, so if one thought hard, there could be some creative use of it. Personally, I returned it and would NOT recommend it to anyone at ANY price.
