I've had this radio a month now, and am very happy with it. I've read the critical reviews on this, and people need to realize that this is a $100 boom box, not a home theater system! The sound is good, the bass picks up, as you turn the volume up. The two speakers are on the front, while the two “soft” bass speakers are on the sides. I like how the display lights up the radio station, unlike others that do not. It does not display the time, however. The radio works fine, as does the CD and blue tooth features. I've not yet tried the other features, as I bought this to listen to the radio, while doing wash in our basement. Although, you can't fine tune the sound, it does have different sound type options (Jazz, Flat, Classic, Rock, and Pop). The disco lights are a bit annoying, but can be turned off with the remote. I like how you can preset radio stations. It has a metal antenna, as opposed to the stringy type, that you would have to fasten up to something. My only concern, is that the CD door snaps open, sometimes making a clicking noise. So now, I hold my hand on the door, as it's opening, to prevent this. When a good song comes on, I crank it up, and it sounds good! Overall, I'm very pleased with it.
