I switched from Verizon to Total Wireless because it would save me over $500 a year.So far I am very happy with it. Only been using for a week but for $500 saving I will love it.I switched my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 over using a new $10 sim card.Got the family plan and purchased a $50 smart phone for my husband. He is doing great with it. The biggest problem is working to set the whole thing up over the phone with people that don't speak very good English. Took about an hour each phone to get it done. I didn't hook up both phones at the same time. So I had to go through same process with phone #2. I am a patient person but if your short tempered things might not go so well. You can always ask for someone that English is their first language. I would do it again with a glass of wine in my hand.LOL
We purchased the $60 plan for two phones for my in-laws to help them reduce the cost of their cell phone bill. They had Verizon before this and the only way you can get Total Wireless is to buy a phone from Total Wireless or change from a Verizon plan. So we purchased the SIM cards needed from Walmart. When I called to set it up I was told it could take up to two days for everything to be transferred and activated. We tried the next morning and one phone worked but the other did not. I called to report the problem and after 45 minutes on the phone was told to try again the next day. The next day I called again and after explaining myself again (because apparently NOTHING is noted in their reports even though they tell you it is and give you a ticket number that is WORTHLESS) I was told that the SIM card was faulty and they were going to send me a new SIM card and that because the plan wasn't started on time for that phone then they would give us 3 extra days on our plan. That sounded fair so we waited for the SIM card. Eight days later the SIM card arrived. I called again to activate this SIM card and was told there was no record of the 3 days added to our plan. I argued that we have paid for 30 days of service and have already lost 8 days of service due to a faulty SIM card that we purchased at Walmart from their company! How is this not in your records even though I have a ticket number that is supposed to show everything that was discussed in the last conversation??? I requested longer than 3 days because by now it was over a week and they had taken our money with NO SERVICE for the second phone! I was put on hold for a very long time. When they returned I was told they would give us the 3 days only. I asked how I was supposed to believe this would happen when everything I was told had not been true. She assured me that if I called the day before our plan was to end and make sure the 3 days was added on that it would be there. I bet you can guess what happened. I called today and was told repeatedly that there was nothing in their system about ANY of my previous calls. N.O.T.H.I.N.G. I had given all the ticket numbers that had been given to me and there was NOTHING! Not. one. single. thing. I asked about speaking to a manager and was told they would tell me the same thing. They couldn't give me the 3 days because the plan was set up for only 30. I expressed my disappointment and frustration and explained that in any other business this would not be acceptable and that they would not stay in business for long with this type of customer service. They are either LIARS or extremely INEPT! I added up the time for all the phone calls that were made and it totaled 2 hours and 41 minutes of WASTED time! I am not one to write reviews, either positive or negative, but I felt like the truth needed to be told. I do read reviews and I wish I had listened to the negative reviews more. Does the cell service work? Yes, which is why there is one star, but if you have ANY problem whatsoever be prepared to spend your time on the phone and then wonder if you've been told the truth about what they say they will do. They do NOT take care of their customers! We will not continue our service with this company any longer!
It took me almost a month to move one line over and it's taken over two months to move the second line ! Everytime I call I am given a ticket number and told to call back and everytime I call back they "reach an error" and tell me to call back in 24 hours with a new ticket number! I have wasted $80 so far with them and I now owe my previous phone company almost $300!!! AND I STILL DON'T HAVE THE SECOND LINE MOVED!!!!
Arrived via e-mail in less than 4 hours, activated on totalwireless.com and working within 5 minutes. Make sure both of your phones are placed in the same 'active group' on totalwireless.com so the 2 line card will apply to both phones at the same time. No issues. Good to go.
I bought my husband the Moto E on total wireless plan.... I figured if it worked for him, I would switch from my straight talk plan to save on the two phone plan from total wireless......we had no problems setting it up and his service has been equal to any we've had... I'm going in the next few days to get one for me.... Don't understand why people have had such a difficult time with different things ....all I can say, is that we haven't had any problems....
