Due to Verizon charging so much money per month and pushing everything to the unlimted plan I decided to test out total wireless. I have been very pleased with the service and they offer the same coverage using Verizon towers at a much cheaper rate then what you can get from Verizon. Once my wife's contact expires from Verizon we as a family will be switching over to Total Wireless. 5gb of Data for 35 a month, plus auto renew and it gives you a discount. I am 24 days in on the trial service.

The associates in Walmart Murrieta's electronics department helped me decide on choosing the best wireless carrier for my iPhone. They helped me select the right SIM card and assisted me in every step of the way, making my wireless carrier switch virtually seamless. Aaron and Brandon were patient with me as I really did not know what I needed to do to switch wireless carriers. Their customer service was absolutely superior. Thank you Walmart!

I have two cell phone lines. One is a grandfathered plan serviced by Verizon. The other is serviced by Total Wireless. Recently, I upgraded the phone I was using on Verizon, leaving the Moto X I had been using available to switch to Total Wireless service. (Yes, I know TW resells access to VZ's network.) One night, I contacted TW's support via chat, and they were ready to transfer service from my old 3G phone to the "new" 4G phone (the Moto X). However, they said that I needed to buy a new SIM card. The next day, I bought the new SIM, and contacted TW. After inserting the new SIM, the phone was recognized by TW within minutes. Note 1: If you have problems reading fine print, make sure you have good reading glasses before trying to read the serial number on the SIM card. The printed information is not that easy to read, and one can easily have problems getting all the digits right. Note 2: Make sure your phone is compatible with TW before starting this process. Walmart sells several good phones which work with TW, and I'd have no problems buying a new phone to use with TW.

Just recently purchased an byop sim kit from Walmart and 35 month plan. This was very frustrating from beginning to end. Once the kit was opened it had a red packet inside with 2 sims each for gsm and lte devices. NOTICE that written on the red packet says Verizon compatible phones. Outside unopened sim kit didn't label that description at all. Bought new iPhone 7 plus and check totalwireless.com for compatibility and it was verified and successful device. Plugged sim in to activate and SIM NOT SUPPORTED. Wasted 2 days of support so switched back to old service and dropped TW. Waiting for my refund and yes you have to pay for shipping and packaging.

After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit concerned about switching to this service. I shouldn't have been. This was the easiest, most seamless transition of phone service to a new carrier I have experienced. I don't know if Total Wireless recently upgraded their system or if some others just struggle with technological devices, but the worst part of this experience was removing and reinstalling my phone's case to change the SIM card. From start to finish I was up and running in less than 10 minutes. I have a strong preference for Verizon service in my area and Total Wireless offered the best plan for my needs utilizing Verizon's system. Completely satisfied.
