My phone recently ran out of data, although I hardly ever use data. I went to Tracfone's website to check my data usage but it is not available there. I chatted online with 2 support personnel who told me that I could text USAGE to 611611 and it would return my data usage to my phone. All it returned was my service end data and the number to call to get your remaining balance. I have a Tracfone LG android phone. I told the support people that, but they kept insisting it would return my usage. The first person even told me that 180 MB every 3 months is not enough data. I then called the support line. The first person kept putting me on hold to talk to his supervisor and said he was working on the problem. That took about 30 minutes. I finally got him to transfer me to a supervisor who could not help me. I got her to transfer me to the supervisor of supervisors and all he could do was tell me that I am out of data. Their support people do not have access to your data usage. He told me to open the My Tracfone Account app on my phone. When I told him I could not log in, he said that is because I am out of data and then he disconnected me. This was after spending about an hour on the phone with them but getting nowhere. Maybe background usage used up all of my data which would be my fault for the settings on my phone, but you should be able to see your data usage from your service provider and they should provide better support.

On Walmarts end it went fine. It was fine until 2 days after I got it . All of a sudden the network connection went away and it was useless. I only got it for the internet (I have a phone for calls). I called Tracfone and their customer service was terrible. The employees just want to tell you off. Now, it is useless, and I am out almost $50+ for the phone and $30 for a phone card.

I purchased this a week ago and have to say I'm truly impressed. I'm on a single, lower income and this phone fits the bill. I bought the Sunrise model with triple minutes/texts/data for life and at approximately $7 per month, ($19.99 for a 60 minute card covers 3 months) it's the most economical phone on the market. It has all of the functions of the pricier phones but with less problems and less cost. the coverage is outstanding since TracFone uses all cell towers. The battery lasts for 2 days before recharging and my Kindle charger works perfectly to charge this phone. Also, when you add minutes, it doesn't just add them for the current 3 months, it extends the phone coverage out for the following 3 months. I've had countless people tell me it does what their (expensive) phone does and it doesn't look like a TracFone. I could not be happier with this TracFone.

This phone has an emergency dialer touch button. That is on the locked screen. So If your child picks up your phone. They will be calling 911 constantly. If you carry your phone in your pocket or purse your phone will call 911 on its own. There is no way to remove this option and there is no way to lock this option
