Trail-Gator Tow Bar Children's Trailer, Blue

Exactly what we needed for our 5 year old to keep up. Fits perfectly on my bike (women's 24") to a child sized (14") bike. Overall, happy with this purchase.

First the product works as described as long as you take your time putting it together. I'm very mechanically inclined and it took me 3 hrs to put this together. Most of that time was spent trying to keep everything lined up (a bit of a pain in the butt by yourself but do-able). Whatever you do DO NOT USE THEIR TORQUE SPECS!!! I used their torque specs and crushed the seat post on my wife's bike and the front main shaft of my sons bike. Now when my son rides his bike by himself its really hard for him to turn the handlebars. They also state this is a quick connect not really. There is nothing quick about attaching and detaching the two bikes; it's attached with a series of quick connectors (like used for axles and seats however you have to completely unscrew and re-screw the things every time you want to let the kid ride on his own. With that being said I guess its quicker than grabbing to wrenches...but not by much.

I just finished assemble and tried towing child bicycle only (without child riding). I was able to tow my child bike without any problem. It wasn't very heavy towing on slight uphill. I will try towing with my son (6 years old) on child bike this weekend. As long as he is pedaling, it should be fine going slight uphill, i think. My bicycle seat pole was too skinny (3/4 inch) for Trailgator crump. The instruction said 1 inch is minimum for this product. so I was not supposed to use this product however since I tore all plastic bags and started assembling...I didn't want to return. I ended up using pieces for children bike side attachment that I didn't need for my child bicycle, and it worked. Children bicycle steering holder is not holding steering in place during towing when making turns, so it detaches and front wheel is spinning although it's not big deal because front wheel is in air anyway, but i probably need better adjustment to make it work or maybe just not good enough piece to do that. Overall, it looks like good product. I will know for sure after towing my son on child bike this weekend though.

This probably works better for older kids but when i took my 4 year old on it i would almost fly over my handle bars every time he put on the breaks. Didn't think about that when i bought it. The adult in front obviously has no control over the back so they can stop whenever they want making it harder to peddle especially too if they're riding the breaks. The plus side of this product would be that you can detach the bike when you get where you're going. We never got there though because he kept breaking on me..lol

We just bought this product (along with the 12" Huffy CARS bike) for my 3yr old son. He LOVES it and we love it more! Today my family of 4 biked 14 miles and our 3yr old enjoyed every minute of it. We just popped off the training wheels when in tow and he helps peddle or just rides. Every other biker we passed he yelled "Look at me! I'm big!". This was perfect for us because we enjoy long rides and he gets bored riding in a seat on the back. I noticed right away that he is learning to balance and leans in corners simultaneously with my husband etc. It also makes for either a nice long nap or an early bedtime!
