Tucson Shade

As others have mentioned, these shades are usable right out of the package, look great, give plenty of good shading options, and are a value buy. I also agree that it is not very practical to move them up and down on a daily basis. Most of the time I have mine tied up in such a way that they look like nice valences (ref: pic). The following describes how I got the "valence look." I grabbed the bottom left corner with my left hand and the bottom right corner with my right hand. Using both hands, I literally rolled up the material to where the ties are. I placed the right end of the roll on top of my curtain rod so that the roll would not come undone when I used both hands to secure the left end with the ties. After tying up the right end, I did not want the shade to hang so low, nor did I want the middle to droop so much. Therefore, I took the left side and folded it under, away from me with my left hand and used my right hand to work one of the ties on that side over the rod so that I could secure the shade even higher using the ties. I did the same on the right side. Finally, I used a piece of dark brown, one-inch wide ribbon that I bought from a craft store to tie up the middle.

This shade was the finishing touch to a very lengthy and expensive bathroom remodel. The color is actually more on the cream side which was perfect for my tuscan old world theme. Price was great as well as ship to store. Would definitely buy one for another room if needed.

It is very nice, in quality and material. The only negative would be that it's not meant for long windows and it's not a drawstring, you have to tie it. But with curtain rods it makes a room complete.

definitely a little darker than ivory, but they still look neutral enough in my toddler's room - with plenty of other colors going on. i have pottery barn taste on a craigslist budget, and this was a perfect solution to cover four windows while blending with other bedding/decor.

These shades are wonderful. The fabric feels great to the touch and drapes well. They did not work for me however, because the ivory is much, much darker than appears in the photograph. Would have worked perfectly in my living room, but I just redid those windows. Great buy, but just be aware the shade is much darker than the photograph.
